Benard "Benny" Anthony Lukowski lived in the Webster, Mass., area. He was born 15 April 1884 in Suwalki, Poland. He was
married to Mary Jane Wojtasiak. He and Mary had 6 children. Joseph Charles Lukowski. He changed his last name to Lucas.
He was born 2 March 1916 and died in April 1944. He was a Naval Aviator during WWII. He and his student were killed when the
plane they were in crashed during a training mission. Amelia "Emily" Lukowski was born about 1918 and died about 1980. Jeanette
"Janet" Lukowski was born about 1922 and died about 1961. Edward "Eddie" Lukowski was born 29 October 1924 and died 17 January
2009 in California. Sophie "Sally" Lukowski was born 24 December 1925 and died 31 May 2008 in California. She first married
Irving Tiber to which one daughter was born, Deborah Lynn Tiber. After Irving's death she married Mr. Darby and to this union
two daughters were born, Darleen and Dea Marie Darby. Theresa "Terri" Lukowski was born about 1930. All of Benny and Mary's
children were born in Massachusetts.
Piotr "Peter" Lukowski lived in Poland. He had a son named Jan Lukowski that last I knew still lived in Poland.
The family story is that during hard times after several wars in Poland Dominik used to send packages back to Piotr and his
family, many containing clothing and medicines. On the one occasion that Tadeusz Izbicki was able to speak with Jan, he found
that Jan does remember his father getting the packages from America.
Teofilia Genofefa "Tilly" Lukowski lived in the Webster, Mass., area. She was known to her family in Massachusetts as
Babci. She was born in Nowa Wies, Poland December 24, 1880 and died in Webster, Mass., October 25, 1968. Tilly was married
to Alexander "Alex" Stawiecki who was born February 13, 1890 and died December 8, 1970. They had three children. The first
was Richard M. Stawiecki who changed his last name to Stuart, he was born April 25, 1915 and died August 4, 1991. Richard
married a lady named Patricia Whiteoak. Next came Edmund J. Stawiecki who was born February 21, 1918 and died September 4,
1995. He was married to Clara Pepka. Edmund's obituary is listed below, It was given to me by a member of the Stawiecki
family in Mass. Edmund and Clara had a son named Ronald and a daughter named Karen. The final child of Alex and Tilly was
a daughter named Jeannette B. Stawiecki she was born August 15, 1921 and died November 8, 2000. She was married to Andrew
Lamy. She had one son named Jay Lamy. Her obituary is also listed below, which also came from the Stawiecki's in Mass.
Mary Lukowski was the oldest sister and the first of the females to come to America. She also settled
in the Webster, Mass. area. She married a man named Jan (John in Englis) Kozic. It is not yet known what every became of them
or their children or if they had any. It is assumed that at sometime they returned to Poland.

Edmund Stawiecki, 77, retired professor
Northampton - Edmund J. Stawiecki, 77, of 28 Marian St., formerly of Webster, a university professor of languages for
37 years, died Friday at home after a long illness.
He leaves his wife, Clara (Pepka) Stawiecki; a son, Ronald Stawiecki of Northampton; a daughter, Karen Stawiecki of San
Diego; a sister, Jan Lamy of Indialantic, Fla.; nephews and nieces. He was born in Griswold, Conn., son of Alexander and Teofilia
(Lukowski) Stawiecki, and was raised in Webster. He graduated from Webster High School and the Universityof Massachusetts
at Amherst. He earned a master's degree in literature from the University of Iowa at Iowa City and a second master's degree
in Russian literature from Middlebury College School of Languages. He received a Fulbright Scholarship to study in Germany
in 1958.
Mr. Stawiecki was a professor of languages at the University of Massachusets at Amherst, where he taught for 37 years.
He retired in 1983.
The funeral will be held tomorrow from Czelusniak Funeral Home, 173 North St., with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. John Cantius
Church, 10 Hawley St. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Webster. Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 6

Jeannette B. Lamy, 79
Indialantic, Fla - Jeannette B. (Stawiecki) Lamy, 79, of 405 North Shannon Ave., formerly of Webster, Mass., died Wednesday,
Nov. 8, at home after a long illness.
She leaves a son, Jay M. Lamy of West Melbourne; nephews and nieces. She was born in Dudley, Mass., daughter of Alexander
and Teofilia (Lukowski) Stawiecki, and moved to Florida 28 years ago. She graduated from Bartlett High School, Webster, in
1939.
Mrs. Lamy worked at Sandlerette Co., Webster, and then at Harris Semiconductor Corp., retiring in 1993.
No funeral service is planned. Burial will be at a later date in St. Joseph's Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Memorial
donations may be made to Dudley Preservation Society, 14 George St., Dudley, MA 01571. Atlantic Mortuary Services Inc., 3815
US 1 North, Cocoa, is directing arrangements.
